The brand new AB 140 has just been launched by the Fipa Group shipyard in the Carrara Marina before being officially unveiled at the Monaco Yacht Show.

One of the characteristics of the AB Yachts shipyard resides in the high technological level in the design and construction of their unique yachts. To obtain the best weightpower ratio, the shipyard uses the most sophisticated materials, such as Kevlar, carbon and resins used in the aeronautics with vacuum infusion.
This sophisticated construction procedure ensures the lightest possible hull while guaranteeing incredible solidity: indispensable for confronting the open seas at high speeds without effecting comfort. Two Waterjet turbines power the AB Yachts. The AB 140 is equipped with 3 2,600 hp Mtu engines, for a maximum speed of 46 knots.
Luxury fittings
Behind its sporty demeanor and strong character, the AB 140 presents all the advantages of a 42-metre luxury yacht. To be able to reach such impressive speeds, the weight of the fittings is an important factor, but aboard the AB 140, research into lightness is perfectly visible. The comfort and sophistication of the fittings is emphasized by a light and colourful decoration.
The large bay windows around the lounge afford superb luminosity in the spacious area furnished in white leather and wood that contrasts with the dark oak flooring. In the same spirit, the lower deck has two VIP cabins at the fore, one with a double bed, the other with two convertible twin beds, a cabin for guests, in the centre, equipped with a sauna and fitness area as well as a Pullman couchette.
The owner has a fitted suite in the aft of the deck. This luxury suite has 2 elegant bathrooms with white lacquer painted walls with carbon used for the floor and sanitary installations. On the starboard, the side opens to form a balcony overlooking the sea. Accessible from the dining room and outdoors, the forward part of the lower deck is reserved for the six crew members and galley. The fittings and finishings are identical and as scrupulous as those offered the guests.
