Since the beginning of the 1970s, the majority of ship constructors has been using fibre glass. Fipa Group began with the acquisition of the Maiora shipyard, reputed for the quality of its production. Several years later, the group purchased the legendary Intermare shipyard, specialized in working with stainless steel and wood, as well as mechanical assistance.

In 2000, Fipa Group bought the AB Yachts group, the leader in the construction of Open yachts with a planing hull, enabling the company to increase its offer. The latest acquisition, in 2005, was the CBI Navi, specialized in the construction of large steel and aluminum yachts. Thanks to these three shipyards, Fipa Group offers a wide range of yachts in glass fibre and steel, of displacement yachts or planing hulls, thus ensuring a constant growth for the group.
