The Auberge run by Patrick and Anne-Claude Caron, La Fripounière, sits at the top of the Col de la Couillole like a cherry on its cake, at the top of the world. 360° of view and gourmet experience. Locally grown organic vegetables, wines from small vineyards, cheeses and butter from the farm, exceptional meat…

Whether in summer or winter, the brave sentinel remains in its position enabling its proprietors to excel in their art: finding the best product and sharing it with fine gourmets.

In its typical mountain decor, the restaurant is a treasure trove to be delighted in: whole poached foie gras and steamed fruit, grilled rabbit with spices and creamy polenta, farm guinea fowl and caramelized fruit in pine honey … served with excellent wines at low prices and a collection of artisan whiskies are also on offer. Menus at 21€ (starter, main course, dessert); 29€ (starter, main dish, cheese, dessert) and 41€ (starter, main dish, cheese, dessert).
