Hartung-Bergman Foundation

Hans Hartung (1904-1989) and Anna-Eva Bergman (1909-1987), major figures in modern art and abstraction, marked the 20th century. In the 1960s, they purchased an olive grove in Antibes, where they built their villa and workshops. This place is now a foundation that preserves their exceptional works and archives. On view until September 27, 2024, the exhibition “Sharing the sensitive” Hans Hartung, Anna-Eva Bergman and Terry Haass, which highlights their great complicity.

- The foundation was created by a decree in 1994, in accordance with the wishes expressed by Hans Hartung and Anna-Eva Bergman during their lifetime.
- Born Thérésa Goldman in 1923 in Czechoslovakia, Terry Haass created a rich and diverse body of work, marked by printmaking, sculpture and the abstraction linked to patterns.
- The institution is open until September 27, 2024, from Monday to Friday, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
