La Malmaison, a Belle Époque villa and annex of the Grand Hotel built in the heart of the famous Boulevard de la Croisette in 1863, has become the international contemporary art center in Cannes since 1970. After two years of work to triple its exhibition area, 600 m² Spread over three levels, it now hosts three major exhibitions per year: two devoted to contemporary art, and one to modern art.

Good to know

  • The inaugural exhibition “Luxury, Calm and Pleasure” is on view until April 20, 2025. It brings together 129 works by 56 artists (Cézanne, Monet, Renoir, Picasso, Combas...) inspired by the panoramas of the Riviera.

  • An art bookstore dedicated to contemporary art is located on the ground floor.

  • A tea room and a rooftop with panoramic views of the Mediterranean complete the package.
