“To offer a rich experience to our visitors and allow them to realize their dream...” At the head of the first afloat boat show in Europe for several years, Sylvie Ernoult is preparing for the 2025 edition to be held next September with more than 700 boats and 55,000 visitors expected in Cannes. Success announced.

Today, what does the Cannes Yachting Festival represent in the nautical world?
The Cannes Yachting Festival is the first afloat boat show in Europe. Every year, at the beginning of September — from 9 to 14 in 2025 -, it brings together the biggest names in international yachting with nearly 650 exhibitors, 700 boats and 55,000 visitors who come to realize their dream of escape. It is the unmissable event to discover the latest innovations available on the market and launched as a world premiere. It is also a fabulous experience for all visitors who discover Cannes and the French Riviera, the softness of the landscapes and its cultural richness.
What prompted you to work in this universe?
I grew up in Le Havre. The sea is part of my DNA. I have spent almost my entire career in maritime or yachting. Organizing the Cannes Yachting Festival also means promoting exceptional shipyards and boats and promoting boating in its entirety.

Some key figures to illustrate this success?
We are in the middle of marketing the 2025 edition, so it is too early to give you the figures for this new vintage. However, we are very confident, some spaces are already full. We are seeing significant dynamism, a strong demand for participation in the show and the announcement of numerous new features. It is certain that the Cannes Yachting Festival will again bring together a rich offer of yachts and motor boats of all sizes and sailboats.
Any major news or developments to remember?
We are always looking to improve the experience of our visitors. For example, the main entrances to the Old Port and Port Canto will evolve and maritime shuttles will be strengthened. The year 2025 is also a year of transmission with the arrival of Constance Brément as Deputy Director, who will take over the helm of the show in a few months when I retire!
In the nautical market, what are the trends that are emerging?
Demand for the segment of sailing catamarans as well as multihull yachts is still growing significantly. We also perceive a search for aesthetics and comfort for motor yachts and motor boats up to 12/13 meters. Sustainable innovations continue to be an important focus of the innovations presented. Finally, the broker market is very active, as requests to participate in the show have already started. Our objective is to find the right balance between all types of boats, without forgetting the equipment manufacturers, to offer a rich experience to our visitors and allow them to realize their dream.
