The best of yachting is on display in Cannes

Summer is still in overtime on the French Riviera. The hot summer weather and mass tourism have given way to the mild autumn weather. The people of Cannes reclaimed La Croisette before the start of the largest gathering of professionals and yachting enthusiasts.

Having become the largest afloat show in Europe in a few years, Cannes Yachting Festival opens the yachting season by bringing together the elite of this industrial sector around the Old Port and Port Canto. The most famous shipyards rub shoulders with manufacturers of smaller units, engine manufacturers and craftsmen specializing in hardware, not to mention suppliers dedicated to luxury and interior decoration. Each year, the organizers and the city of Cannes do their utmost to welcome the 610 exhibitors and 55,000 visitors in the best conditions.

From Old Port to Port Canto

Victim of its unwavering success, the Old Port has in recent years reached the point of saturation, despite the addition of several pontoons, including one opening to allow the passage of yachts offering sea trials. In this natural setting, the Bay of Cannes, some 700 boats ranging from 5 to 50m will be able to be exhibited in the best conditions, afloat or on the quays.

Since 2019, Port Canto, located at Pointe Croisette, has continued to develop to offer new spaces. This year, a new marina will accommodate 170 motoryachts from 8 to 12m as well as leisure toys and tenders. A sailing area has been created that can accommodate more than 120 new sailing boats from 10 to 30 m, monohulls and multihulls. The largest projects can now present their innovations in a world premiere, and visitors can now enjoy this unique exhibition in the world on a 450m platform. The Brokerage Space maintains its space at the entrance of the port where more than 45 used boats offered for sale or rental are moored and presented by brokerage professionals who will be able to advise you on a possible acquisition or rental. To take full advantage of the Bay of Cannes and the show on the water, maritime shuttles connect the two ports free of charge.

The setting of the Old Port

Nestled in the heart of the city, at the foot of Suquet Hill, the historic heart of Cannes, the Old Port brings together more than 350 units from 10 to 45m representing the best in the world of motoryachts. Increasingly popular, motorized multihulls have particular space because of their width. More than 20 units ranging from 11 to 24m are being presented this year. Along the four quays surrounding the Port, the numerous yachting service providers, equipment manufacturers and shipyards have comfortable spaces to welcome visitors.

The Trans-Alpine people are here at home, Italian becoming the first language along the quay occupied mainly by their multiple construction sites whose production rivals elegance and refinement... in Italian style.

For several decades, Cannes has been synonymous with luxury, and the Plaisance Festival is no exception to this rule. Inside the Rotonde at the Palais des Festivals, luxury brings together all areas of yacht interior design, equipment and high-tech products, in the presence of architects and designers.

And when it's time to eat, the most beautiful panoramic terrace in Cannes awaits you on the roof of the Palais des Festivals. Young chefs offer quality bistronomic cuisine; the most beautiful place to admire the yachts cruising the waters of the bay from the Lérins Islands to Théoule.
